I’m in the mood for some festive seasonal reading, and it occurs to me others might be too, so I thought it’d be nice to run a giveaway and garner some recommendations.
I’m offering winner’s choice from my Christmas fiction (see below)to a randomly chosen commenter – to enter the draw, just drop me a comment and let me know about one (or more – in fact, the more the merrier) of your favourite holiday reads (but not one of mine! I’ve read those *g*).

That’s a second vote for that one – I might just have to grab a copy! I do like a touch of the supernatural at Christmas (I blame Charles Dickens *g*).
I have a couple of older anthologies. ‘His for the Holidays’, stories by Josh Lanyon, L B Gregg, Harper Fox & Z A Maxfield. Also ‘Lone Star” by Josh Lanyon part of ‘Men under the Mistletoe’.
Ooh, yes – I have both those anthologies. Could be time for a re-read! 🙂
There’s actually quite a few I like: Merry Gentlemen by Josephine Myles; Holiday Outing by Astrid Amara; Secret Light by ZA Maxfield; Christmas Kitsch by Amy Lane; Icecapade by Josh Lanyon; the shorts Grateful, Dear Ruth, and St. Martin’s Day by Kim Fielding; Amy Rae Durreson’s new short, The Holly Groweth Green; and especially The 12 Days of Hipster, as well as its prequel Bowl Full of Cherries, both by Raine O’Tierney.
(And yes, I *do* have an Advent/Holiday collection on my Kindle, in case you were wondering. 😉 I’ve been looking for new holiday reads, too, so the least I can do is share a bunch of my favorites! )
Oh wow, that’s loads! Thank you! I love Jo’s story, and I know I’ve read a couple of the others, but most of those are new to me.
And well done you for being so organised. My Kobo and Kindle are like a couple of bran tubs when it comes to finding stuff!
I love “The Best Christmas Ever” by Anel Viz, which is out of print. I’ve read several of Eli Easton’s Christmas books, and liked them. “Merry Christmas, Mr. Miggles” is my favorite, though. Andrew Grey’s “Cruise for Christmas” is a sweet short story.

Thank you! I think I may have to get a copy of Mr Miggles. My childhood ambition was to be a librarian, so a story set in a library sounds right up my street.

I just LOVED “Christmas Kitsch” by Amy Lane. Also, Amy Rae Durreson’s Christmas novellas are wonderful: “The Ghost of Mistletoe Lock,” “Gaudete,” and “The Holly Groweth Green.”
I can’t believe I haven’t read any of Amy Rae Durreson’s novellas! “The Holly Groweth Green” in particular sounds right up my street, with its period setting and ghost story – and while I was checking it out I came across her “A Frost of Cares” which also looks great.

If I had to choose just one, it would be So This Is Christmas, by Josh Lanyon, because I had been waiting for the last chapter on Adrien and Jake for so long… Other favourite of mine are Merry Gentlemen by Jo Myles, Winter Knights by Harper Fox, Waiting for Winter by LB Gregg, or Humbug by Joanna Chambers…

Some others….How I Met Your Father by L.B. Gregg is set at Christmas time. She also has Mistletoe at Midnight. Rejoice, Dammit by Kaje Harper. Most of Know Not Why by Hannah Johnson is set during the Christmas season. The Christmas Proposition by K.A. Mitchell. What Happens at Christmas and A Family for Christmas by Jay Northcote. Hot Mall Santa by A.J. Truman. A Little White Lie for Christmas by L.A. Witt.
