Shiny New Cover, and Other News

TrickOTime_finalI’m delighted to reveal the cover of my next novella, Trick of Time:

A lover from another time—or is he just fooling himself?

Ted’s still recovering from head injuries suffered in an appalling car accident that killed his husband, so it’s no wonder he doubts his own sanity when he steps through the door of the Criterion Theatre and finds himself in Victorian London with a beautiful rent boy.  Although their association starts with a sordid encounter, repeated visits have the two falling in love. But Ted misunderstands the exact conditions necessary for his trips through time—and for Jem, time is running out.

Due out in ebook from Carina 28th January 2013.

Not only does the cover include key elements from the story—the theatre curtain, the statue of Eros in Piccadilly Circus—it also goes uncannily well with the cover of another book I’ve got a story in… Winking smileWinter_final (1)

And in other news: The sharp-eyed among you may have noticed that A Blast From the Past is no longer available to purchase. Come January, A Calling For Pleasure and A Wish Too Far will also be disappearing for a while. This is because in June 2013, new and re-edited editions of them—plus a completely new story about Lars and Rael, A Glutton For Punishment—are due to be published in a single, novel-length volume by Riptide Publishing. Calling_200x300I absolutely fell in love with Rael and Lars and would love to read more about them. JL Merrow has created two unforgettable characters everyone should have an opportunity to meet – Delane, Coffee Time Romance

I’m really excited about the new editions—and the new story, which has languished in the planning stage for far too long!  Open-mouthed smile

About jlmerrow

JL Merrow is that rare beast, an English person who refuses to drink tea. She read Natural Sciences at Cambridge, where she learned many things, chief amongst which was that she never wanted to see the inside of a lab ever again. Her one regret is that she never mastered the ability of punting one-handed whilst holding a glass of champagne. She writes across genres, with a preference for contemporary gay romance and the paranormal, and is frequently accused of humour. Find JL Merrow online at: www.jlmerrow.com
